During this time the company became known as a reliable manufacturer of high-quality and innovative bicycle equipment

The start of our bicycle story

VNC's history as a bicycle manufacturer began only in 2006, but our cycling story dates back to the 1960s.


It was in those years, in the Ukrainian Soviet Republic in the USSR, that a young guy named Octavian Nikolaichuk began to professionally engage in cycling.


Over time, fate sent him first to the Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, and then to the Soviet Republic of Turkmenistan, where he lived most of his life. It was in this country that he first became a coach at a cycling school, and eventually became a coach of the national cycling team of Turkmenistan.


At the end of the 1980s, his family moved to Ukraine, where he, together with his son Vitalii Nikolaichuk, founded the company in 1993, the main activity was the bicycle trade, including the official distribution of international manufacturers of bicycles and bicycle accessories in Ukraine.

Bicycles manufacturing

Everything began in the distant 1996 year with the assembling and selling of the bicycles of the brand Abeni.


In those days, the company specialized in the production of mountain bikes and comfortable city bikes.

In 2006, as part of the company, a division was created for the production of its own bicycles under the BGM trademark, which became the basis for the further development of the production of bicycles, which were later called VNC.

The company's business was successful, experience gained, which allowed a few years to think about moving from the assembly of bicycles to other brands to develop and produce their own. This became possible thanks to the collaboration with the world-famous German manufacturer Bergamont. Bicycles of the company, then were called BGM.

And this is not accidental, since the company traditionally relates to the design, selection of materials, components, quality control and choice of partners. For example, the most innovative bikes were then made at the Bergamont production facilities. That in itself is a confirmation of quality.

Over the past few years, the company has experienced a number of iconic changes. 

 

  • In 2011 the BGM was rebranded. The popularity of the brand has become interesting to former partners from Bergamont, so they acquired the right to use its name;

 

 

  • In the same year, the manufacturer began production of bikes under the brand VNV Bikes Company.

 

Fans of the company will be interested to learn that the abbreviation in the title consists of the first letters of its founders.

VNV era

The six-year period after rebranding (2011-2017) was constructive, VNV is successfully and dynamically developing. As a result, the lineup of the manufacturer is significantly expanding. It is regularly replenished with techniques of various kinds, among which there were mountain and urban models.

An important point is that the company's bikes are becoming not only reliable, but also high-tech. So, at this stage, for the manufacture of frames, carbon is started to be actively used, the most up-to-date equipment, making the equipment more comfortable, safe, durable.

In 2017, the name of the company was changed to the modern spelling - VNC, which is an abbreviation for VN Company. Also this year, the company opened an affiliate company XON LTD in London, UK, with the aim of working with foreign clients and suppliers.

VNC today

Nowadays VN Company is the manufacturer has a wide range of bicycles, which includes dozens of mountain and city models.
